Today, there are more children in need of humanitarian assistance than at any other time since the Second World War. Save the Children has been supporting the unique needs of children caught in conflicts and disasters for over 100 years.

Through our Children's Emergency Fund, Save the Children can prepare for and respond to crises anywhere in the U.S. and around the world. The Fund ensures that Save the Children can deliver life-saving humanitarian aid for children, families and communities as soon as an emergency strikes.

Often times during crises, children typically miss out on critical education as their schools close, or are kept from learning.

Through our Children’s Emergency Fund, we work to ensure kids can get back to school as soon as possible to mitigate learning loss following a disaster. Our Education in Emergencies team does this by distributing emergency cash assistance, providing supplies and learning materials to local partners for distribution, providing training to childcare professionals and advocating for resiliency.
