Torrential floods have affected more than 1.7 million people in Nepal, 143 people including children have lost their lives. More than 35 districts have been affected with 461,000 people temporarily displaced and 65,000 houses destroyed. Hundreds of schools have closed and roads have been washed out.  Affected children and their families desperately need assistance.
